Pasta with Tomato sauce

Healthier Version 

Ingredients:

3 celery stalks

2 carrots

1 onion

1 can of diced tomatoes (1lt)

Salt 

Olive oil

Instruction:

  1. Mince the vegetables as small as you can, or use a blender.

  2. Use a small pot (around 10 cm diameter)

  3. Add the minced veggies and the tomatoes into the pot 

  4. Add one finger of water

  5. Start cooking on medium heat 

  6. Add 1 teaspoon of salt 

  7. Cover the pot with a lid

  8. Cook as long as you can on low heat (1 - 4 hours)

  9. Turn off the heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  10. When the pasta is ready, add some of the tomato sauce until the pasta turns red.

Great Grandma’s Recipe

Ingredients:

3 garlic cloves

2 tablespoons of sugar

1 tablespoon of salt

1 finger of olive oil

1 can of diced tomatoes (1lt)

Instruction:

  1. In a small pot (10 cm diameter) add 1 horizontal finger of olive oil

  2. Add 3 smashed garlic cloves

  3. Turn on the heat to medium 

  4. Wait for the cloves to become gold, and then take them out 

  5. Add the tomatoes

  6. Add sugar and salt 

  7. Mix everything

  8. Cook as long as you can (2 - 4 hours)

  9. When the pasta is ready, add some of the tomato sauce until the pasta turns red.
